    Personally, I hate the Blackhawk. The reason why is, The handle comes up under the cylinder, therefore causing all the recoil to come up, snapping your wrist, instead of pushing it straight back. I like the redhawk. This is the reason I will never buy one. My father has a collection of Blackhawks. When he passes, they are the first handguns to go on GunBroker[;)] I'm keeping all his S&W's and his single six from the 60's. The rest are gone.

    It is tempting though. I'll watch it, but like I said - I believe that will go pretty high. Good for you and Sam. Not so good for me.

    The recoil should be used to thumb back the hammer. [:)]

    That Bisley grip is really nice when you are shooting heavy handloads(Which it what I built it for).

    I can tell you this is one of the smoothest SA guns I have ever had or handled. It locks like a bank vault and feels really good in the hand.

    It points naturally for me. I dislike the short grips that came with the gun. The 4 5/8" don't come with the "Dragoon" style frame. I have 3 other Black hawks and I have replaced all of the aluminum (red) frames with steel SBH Dragoon style frames because they feel so much better in MY hand, YMMV, but I have large hands.

    I also straighten the triggers, replace the springs and put a Belt Mtn cylinder pin to smooth them out and make them more accurate.


    Notice the black sights? That is the way they should be[;)]

    Like I said in another post if a forum member wins and gets intouch with me I have some goodys to go with it.

    Thanks Sam. It's too nice, to pass bidding on it. Would go very nicely with my Ruger .44 mag Carbine.
