Boat trailer dolly
I'm looking for a "power" assisted one (crank, battery or whatever style) but the ones I've seen all require a min. of a 500# tongue wt.? Our pontoon certainly dozen't have that type of wt.! Any suggestions? Thanks

I am sure you're mistaken. All the ones I've ever seen carry a maximum (not minimum) tongue weight of between five and six hundred pounds
Here's an electric one that has a maximum tongue weight of 450 lb with a maximum trailer weight of 3,000 lb

You didn't with the one I had... Which is the one that I listed here. Although you did need a little tongue weight, you didn't meet 600 pounds of tongue weight...0 -

I believe that number is the MAX tongue weight, I can't imagine there being a minimum of any kind anyway.0 -
Lot of pro & con in my research! I'm leaning toward the crank operated style as it seems heavier duty. "Trailer Valet 5X V211 Tongue Jack Dolly" or similar unit. If this were available in a 12 V. operated unit I wouldn't hesitate. Ask someone mentioned simply place additional weight on the tongue if that what it takes. Thanks for the replys. 0 -

Look at PROUD CANADIAN website, they have plans for a 12v dolly using a HF winch. I built one for $150 and it works great. 0
