Last Time I Was In Texas

There were about 10 cars and we were running around 100. We had not seen cars for 20 minuets or more. We topped a hill and the Highway Patrol was everywhere on the side of the road with the lights on.

I looked at my friend and said ut oh. I pulled over and he asked for my license and registration. I gave it to him and he saw my military id in my wallet.

He asked why we were going so fast and i told him my friends Mom died and we were going to NC to the funeral. He said i will be right back.

About 3 minuets later he said slow down and here is a warning ticket. I asked him how we got clocked that we had not seen another car in a very long time. He pointed in the air and laughed.

    Had that happen on Alligator Alley in Florida. Straight road for miles, no traffic. ?Look, an airplane. What?s that star on the fuselage??

    They got me in West Texas around Van Horn. No warning though. He wrote me for 95 in a 70. That is just the cost of being me.[}:)]

    Left Abilene TX Sunday morning dark early. Somehow I didn't get on 1-20 but ended up on Hwy 84 going east. There was absolutely nothing but barren ground all the way to some little town where I turned north and picked up 1-20. Not even a phone signal.

    Been there. That sounds about right. At least you were headed East.[:D][8D]

    Out on the road coming upon the town of Jacksboro. Nothing but tumble weeds and dead rattle snakes most of the way.
