This is the best looking Motorcycle

I have ever seen at least modern looking bikes.

I was in town today and a guy had a Honda Rune 2004, it was black and I think its one of the coolest looking bikes I have ever seen.

I have never seen one before or really heard of them. I came home and looked them up..........Wow when new they were selling for over 25K!

    Not sure how to pronounce the name Honda "Rune" but I bet it could "ruin" my bank account fast [;)]. I can't decide if it's pretty or ugly but it's definitely different [:)]

    Nothing better looking than a tricked out Yamaha RD 350/400 or a Kawi 750 triple. Rear sets, chambers, K&N's, Superbike bars, cafe'd, etc. etc. A thing of beauty. (And Giant Killers.)

    Dude the picture does not do it justice.

    The one I was looking at was sick. I talked to the owner and he just had it detailed and this was the last ride until Spring. I have seen this guy around driving a Audi R8 so I guess he has some serious coin.

    I am a more old school bike guy myself, a 1971 Norton 750 Commando was my favorite bike and I have had several, but man that Rune was classy looking and it sounded sweet when he fired it up.

    cool overpowered 6 cylinder that was my screen saver in electric blue for quite a while
    one of the guys i rode with at the time got one, and after pulling alongside me at 50 mph to be sure i saw it was him, lifted the front wheel as he pulled away...[:0]

    Kind of like the reverse springer front end.

    Not a fan of the completely closed up look of the rest of the bike, but as I am not in the market for a bike, Honda will probably not consult me for input.

    Honestly it's so ugly I wouldn't want anyone seeing me riding that thing. Amazing how people's taste differ.

    Looks like a lowered, stretched and chopped Goldwing. I like classic street bikes and sport bikes, not a fan of them melded together and modernized into one bike. Looks like it probably rides smooth, but heavy.

    The Rune was a styling controversy when it came out for sure.
    Remember the first Suzy Katana's Butt ugly IMHO.

    In your minds eye remove the war of the worlds extended sonar array two tone headlight bucket and replace it with a close in mounted - almost nested in the architecture of the forks and handlebar - traditional old school large diameter piece...

    And imagine a more traditional take on the blended exhaust outlet - over sized and over done stylized heat shield and collector and swap it out for a minimalist and simplified old school variant...

    The headlight bucket is an easy fix - I don't know what you could do about the exhaust system.

    Than compare it to an Indian or Harley from back in the day and maybe that works better for you.

    The danger for them was staying traditional and being accused of simply stealing and copying from iconic designs - or going to far in terms of deliberately changing certain key design elements to make the bike unique and their own.

    Yes cafe racers and rat rod homages and steam punk throwback motifs have their own culture followings and niche fan groups.

    In an era were many bikes looked identical and all seemed close copies of certain historical favorites they made a bike that stood out from an engineering and stylistic point of view and that drew some ire and angst.

    Still like it.

    [:D] Ever since my first solo ride on my older brothers buddy's 305 Honda Scrambler, at the age of 14, I have totally preferred "cruising" around on a moped![:I]

    I don't want to be seen doing so but have to admit I do enjoy it![:0][:)]

    Some guys are just NOT cut out for those monster crotch rockets, and I guess that includes me.
