    You need to consider the distance from the top of the mattress (when the bed is made) to the floor. If it's > an inch or two over the old standard of 24", she won't be happy.

    ^^^ this, but not all memory foams are created equal. You have to look that the density of the memory foam

    You can get them anywhere from less than $100 on up to$1,000. You get what you pay for.

    Mine cost me about $400, and I can and have thrown it on top of an air mattress and nobody knows the difference between that and a high-quality bed. Heck I've even throwing it on the ground and it was really comfortable...

    I bought a $125 foam topper 4" at Wal-Mart five summers ago. It's in the spare bedroom and gets used maybe 60 days a year.

    It is grrat. Very nearly as nice as my big-name memory foam mattress. I'd recommend it.

    Note: It had to be "aired out" (per directions) outside for a day before going on the bed. Don't neglect this.

    Four or 5 generations ago, my ancestors slept on a pallet on a dirt floor.
    That said, it?s one of the reasons I dislike overnight travel.
    I love my bed!
    Don?t scrimp on your bedding. You spend about a third of your life there.

    Really like my memory foam pillows. Looked up memory foam toppers on the local electronic market place and a queen sized 2" topper is $120 U.S. dollars delivered.

    My existing mattress has a smooth cloth covering, IE: not quilted. and a topper should be OK.

    The price is considerably higher for the 3" foam, almost double the price of the 2"

    Is the 2" enough or should it be thicker? A trip to have a look would cost more than the actual topper since it'd be overnight.

    Could two toppers two inches thick each be "stacked".

    I recently bought a 2" memory foam doggie bed for my 3 year old Golden Retriever. He likes it soooo much, he now sleeps in just about every morning! Even if I get up and start doing stuff!!

    That tells me there must be something to those comfy cozy sleeping pads and my dogs endorsement will soon see me picking up one for my bed!
