A case of Crimini Mushrooms-

Help!!

My Bud just came back from his second visit to PA. in three weeks. Gave me a case of Crimini's. (Essentially baby Portabella's.) I still have half a case of Portabella's to go through, from last week. I have a large Crock pot of seafood chowder incorporating 5-6 Portabella's ready to eat now. (Going to be awesome.)

I am actively soliciting, encouraging, and will utilize any tasty recipe involving mushrooms.

Help!!.........................................


I'm thinking, it is slice and dice time, bust out the dehydrator.


Mushroom recipes??

    Smoke, dry, dice, place in freezer. Bring them out for stews and soups. Someone chip in because I don't know how well mushrooms do frozen.

    Mushrooms freeze and dehydrate very well. I usually dehydrate more because I use the freezers for other things.

    My favorite way to enjoy portabellas is to paint them with olive oil and grill them. Serve with a drizzle of garlic butter.

    I am curious if home canning is an option for fresh mushrooms?

    I sometimes buy those canned ones when the fresh are getting funky.
