Is this federal or just regional law?

I know this is the law in Virginia and all points south, but I?ve heard it both ways when I lived in Yankee country. Any time there is snowfall expected in excess of ? inch or larger than usual thunder storms you are required to inventory your bread and milk. If you have less than three loaves of bread and two gallons of milk for each person in the household you are required to go to every store within fifty miles of your house to buy more until you meet or exceed the requirement.

I?ve been told both ways, especially in New Jersey, but I?ve also been in the market for a loaf of bread when a dusting of snow was in the forecast.

I was in Food Lion tonight to pick up a couple gallons of drinking water suitable for use in a Keurig coffee maker. Food Lion usually has a wall of drinking water. They had removed all the drinking water and replaced it with bread.

That reminded me if I want some form of bread with my eggs in the morning I?d have to buy some. I bought a bag of bagels and a pack of rolls. I might have to substitute tea for coffee. I have almost a quart of milk so I didn?t buy any. I decided to risk it. Such is life when you live on the edge trying to skirt around the law. I guess I?m Just a natural born outlaw.

    It's regional, where I live the cities and State have snow plows to clear our path to get our milk and bread even in a blinding snowstorm[:D]

    I usually have at least 2-3 loaves of bread in the freezer and 12- 18 gallon of drinking water on hand all the time
    only milk consumed is when my wife drinks her 2 cups of coffee in the morning

    Believe most cites will GIVE you all kinds of water, food, shelter, whatever you need FOR FREE. Why bother to stock up, unless it's with the FREE stuff they hand out.

    Last Hurricane I picked up a case of water and half a dozen MRE's. Gave them to folks who needed them. One bottle of water max. per person. Not a big spender.[:D]

    I asked the Federal Bikini Inspector and he said it is official. There is a task force that goes around and checks the housewives to make sure the got bred. [}:)]

    We don?t panic buy bread and milk in SD unless the snow is expected to be more than 3 feet and winds over 50 mph.

    If a 1/4? is expected to fall in Seattle it can close the damn city and freeways down even though so many people have all wheel drive, 4 wheel drive and studded tires.
