The GOP, even swamp dwelling scumbags, will be reelected in enough numbers to keep the house (R). The Senate will gain more (R) representatives, but they will be Wilbur Milquetoasts and split with Trump on most issues. Either way the Federal spending will continue unhindered.

    Things aren't bad enough...or good enough, to make any sweeping mid term election changes. There are 35 Senate seats up for grabs in November of which 26 are held by Democrats. Those are favorable odds for the Republicans to maintain a majority. Even losing a seat would not be a disaster since VP Pence holds the tie breaker.

    Trump's agenda will remain at odds with the Republicans in Congress. Differences include issues such as trade and tariffs and immigration reform, both of which are popular with the voters, but less so with Republican leaders. Both will be front and center during the next two years.

    Looks to me Trump is winning on the Trade and Tariff issues.

    Maybe because as bad off economically as the U.S. is,,, everyone else is in WORSE shape and there doesn't seem to be much of a fight. ie: THEY can't afford a confrontation as much as the U.S. can.

    Plus, they probably known the advantage they've had for years wasn't remotely fair.

    China especially.
