just in today ...an older couple from wichita were vendors at a carnival 20 mile north of me ...he was taking care of his wife who had dementia...they were killed inside their camper and then the perps drove camper to Van Buren, Arkansas and buried them in the country...daughter in wichita sounded an alarm when they did not show up at home and somehow the perps were found and arrested...what better use of the DEATH SENTENCE in Kansas could be found and yet will NEVER be carried out....because of the IDIOT state supreme court...bad things happen to nice people and no appropriate justice is carried out in our state...like the Carr bros who killed 5 and after 16 years of jailhouse law got their death sentence REVOKED...state supreme IDIOTS

    As long as physical evidence proves guilt I am all for executions within 24 months after conviction to allow time for making sure laws were followed and the Constitutional rights of the accused were not trampled. Once convicted, the 24 month clock starts ticking.

    The sad part is by law they have to be tried and prosecuted swiftly. But they can drag on their appeals for years and years[V][V][V]

    The appeals process is a sick joke and a cash cow for lawyers.

    I agree. In too many cases the legal system is rigged in favor of the criminals. I can understand about not wanting to wrongly punish the innocent, but in too many cases the criminals get too much of a benefit of doubt...
