truck repairs...........
had the passenger power window crap out last night on my truck. got it apart this morning and the cable that controls the track broke. not much to it about five bolts and the track was out, swap electric motor and back in only hour or so, but I can say one thing,,, blood thinners and sharp edges don't mix, I spent more time dabbing up blood and putting on bandaids than working!!! even the trivial things are a pain in the butt nowdays......[B)]

I used to make notes in a book when doing maintenance on my cars to save time for the next time such as what wrenches to use and what extensions to use when changing spark plugs on my big block corvette. One of the plugs required jacking up the right front side of the car so I could reach though the fender weld to get to the spark plug under the air conditioner compressor. I put a note in the book that read..."put a glove on your right hand stupid or you'll cut your hand again and get more blood on this page". [:D] There were drops of blood smeared on the page where I had written that note sometime in the past. [:D] 0 -

Don?t have that problem but working on the pickup can knot my back so bad that once I sit down for a few minutes can cause me to fall on e I stand back up. I went face first into the fridge one day after getting up from the kitchen table, took one step, sharp pain in lower back, legs buckled and down I went. I am scared that I am going to end up in a wheelchair, my back is destroyed. 0 -

I hear you. Needed the plugs changed on my pickup, looked at YouTube to see what it was going to take, and decided that I didn't need to twist myself into a pretzel, so had my mechanic do it. $203 later the truck runs like a new one, my back and arms are OK, and didn't shed a drop of blood. The mechanic replaced the plugs and seals, did a scan, and checked the whole truck over for anything that needed doing. I trust him with all my and my family's vehicles, so when he gave me a "good to go", I will drive it anywhere. 0 -
I learned the blood thinner trick [:D], went to Tractor Supply and bought a pair of farm chemical mixing gloves (black rubber & somr type fabric), cut the finger tips out so your fingers are free to do the small detail work, these gloves come up past the ELBOW [:0] (think gauntlets).....they only cost $6 and last forever [:)] They're great also for trimming shrubs and bushes with thorns.....no more bleeding, scrapes & bruises lasting a week [;)]. 0 -

I have always hated wearing gloves
I would guess 2 or 3 dozen pare of the " mechanics gloves "
around here my sons have bought me all are still in the packages [B)][B)]
so far I still just bleed add a band aid , duct tape or electrical tape what ever is handy ( super glue on rare occasion ) and keep going will agree getting old not for sissy's [:D][:D]
many years ago I cut a finger bad , I had it stitched up but lost feeling in it, many times I would see the blood and then realize I had cut or punctured it .. now it has just enough feeling to know its hurt [:0][B)]0 -

Couple old long sleeve shirts and 3 different pairs of mechanics gloves hand beside my work bench. It helps. Liquid bandage is my friend.0
