Got a text from my best friend's mom

Mr. Perfect
She texted me last night to tell me that Gary (my best friend's dad) had had a stroke and is going to be put into a nursing home. And in the same breath she says he wants you to have all his guns, when can you come get them?

He has MS and I guess the stroke was bad enough that it, coupled with the MS, put him in the hospital.

I called her right away. He is like another father to me. I must have spent nearly as much time at their house as at my own, when I was growing up.

Say a prayer if you would.

    That is a tuff outlook and I cannot imagine what it would be like taking care of him.

    That is so sad and such a wonderful story all at the same time. Its so nice that you guys are such a close group that you all think of each other so fondly.....and sad to learn you are close to losing them. I'm sure those guns will mean more to you than some of the nicest things you own.

    Thanks gents. When I talked to her on the phone she said he'd asked her several times if she had called me about the guns. She also said some are really old, I think of of them was made in 1911. [:I]

    Anyway.... going to try to visit this weekend.
