Crossing the rainbow bridge
My constant companion of 18 years, Amber took her last walk across the bridge this morning My vet said it was the kindest act of love we could give her at this stage . For most of her life , until age robbed her of the ability to jump up on the bed she slept with us every night . If sitting in the recliner reading or watching tv she was there in my lap. For a dog I didn?t even know I was getting , she took a big piece of my heart. Rest easy old girl see you on the other side

tough deal....and...somewhere there is another dog that really needs a good home and you need a good buddy ....you will know the right one...i have 4 i hope are waiting and my two rescue buds here for now... i hope to cross someday..... 0 -
The hurt you feel is worth it for the lifetime of love and attention they give us. I've lost several over the recent years and I have many more to go if I out live them. Sorry for your pain.... 0 -

never gets any easier but there is more looking for a good home and loving family they will never take the place of our lost pals but will help fill the void in our and there lifes
we have given pieces of hearts to many over the years and have five more currently sharing our time
Buddy our 11 year old German Shepard has little time left with us he is just a great dog in all things . we are going to have the vet come by ( too soon I fear ) when that day comes and we say goodby we will lay him to rest next to our other lost 4 legged pals ..0 -

don't grieve for me for now i'm free, i left behind some misery...my days of younger agility were no longer a possibility..my weak joints and cloudy eyes were longing for the heavenly skies..before i lost all dignity you let me enter eternity...don't grieve for me for you've set me FREE, just remember how i used to be...Rainbow Bridge i will cross OK and wait for you to come some day 0 -

My daughter saw this coming and almost forced us to get another poodle named Luke about 10 months ago . He has been very loving over the past day or so to help ease the pain . Dogs love us unconditionally wish people were as well.Nice to know that all of our old friends are waiting for us at the end of our road. And yes they all take a piece of our heart when they leave us but the love they gave while here follows us around. Again thanks to you guys for the kind words 0 -
Dogs needs us most on two days. First when they need a home and you give them one. The second when they just can't hang on any more and need us to help them travel to the Rainbow Bridge.
You were there for Amber both days. The 18 years in between were her saying Thanks.0
