So who had Mattels shootin-shell guns??

I had both the SAA revolver and the rolling block rifle. To say I shot those by the hour would be an under statement.

Maybe this explains why I am a revolver fan to this day. It also explains why my favorite hunting rifle is a Browning 78 high wall!!

I remember standing in front of my TV waiting for Gun Smoke to come on so I could fast draw against Matt Dillion. I reached the point I could beat Marshall Dillion about 2/3rds of the time!! I was a very proud 5th and 6th grader.[:D][:D]

    I had a pistol that had cases and bullets that you could put in the cases, then you attached a greenie stick-um cap on the primer end, and fired away 6 times. I don't remember what brand it was. It was nickel plated with white plastic grips. Is that what you are talking about?

    i had the riflemans rifle but lost all the bullets ,,i have some green meanys here in a box

    Greenie stick-um caps, shootin shells, and a Fanner Fifty. Yep my mis-spent youth lol[:p]

    I won one ( winchester 73 ? ) in a sack race at a local town celebration other wise I would have never had one ( lack of funds at home )
    I did my best even at about 8 years old to preserve the bullets but my dad and one of my uncles lost them [:(]with in a week or two
    I know they had replacements bullets but back to no money prevented replacements [:(]
    over time the metal shells disappeared , I truly enjoyed the rife while I could used it for cowboy and Indian wars with the neighbors
    I think some one sat on it and ended its life ..
    I never even knew about the other models until a few years ago while searching auctions
    funny thing I still look on the auctions sometimes ponder a replacement [8D]

    Got a Dick Tracy 38 snub with the plastic bullets that came flung out.. cool,, brings back a few memories.

    Yep, had a pistol that 'fired" plastic bullets, a coon skin hat and the little train who could record. Any post that says: Who HAD xxx,,, count me in. I was spoiled by my grandparents up until 1956.

    The chemistry set was my favorite, once I understood how it could be "modified". Was into potassium permanganate / glycerin before the age of 10.

    I'd would have had a 6 finger if I'd seen one.

    Green Stick-um Caps and Cap Gun Cap rolls for the regular cap guns.

    When you got tired of the using the gun, just hit the whole roll with a hammer.
