gas-less AR upper question

OK, have an AR-9, runs like a champ. Blowback of course.

Want to swap out hand guards, and put on rifle length A2 style. Have found railed gas block, all other parts needed, etc.

But... since I have no gas system (blowback remember?) .... do I need a gas tube to keep barrel nut at index, gas block in position, etc? Or will the proverbial metric azz-load of torque keep it all in place?

  This will require a gas block to hold the forward HG retainer. I doubt that you really "need" the gas tube to lock the barrel nut. If you're concerned, use a drop of RED loktite. The barrel nut doesn't have to be "killer tight" on a pistol caliber AR

  Gas(less) block for a front sight and to hold the other end of the hand guards in place against end cap, hand guards, end cap (both circle and triangle - gonna see which looks best), delta ring assembly, and barrel nut
  
  Since I don't need to worry about faking a gas tube to keep things in place/indexed, that should be it right?
