new computer monitor??

ok i bought a new computer with the new window 10[:(] now i need a good monitor 200.00 orless ,,24" or? i will just play on it learning the new snit before attach to WWW,,,, going from xp to window 10

    Since I no longer have cable tv I've been using my TCL 32" LED tv for a monitor.
    It's one of the discontinued non-smart models I picked up off of Amazon for $140 a couple of years ago when my CRT set died.

    check wally world clearance for LED TVs. Big screens for less that $180.

    I bought a used flat screen 22"(?) monitor from that auction site for $30-40 and it works fine. In fact, I bought 2 of them so I have a backup. I would have used my 2 year old flat screen TV but it wouldn't fit my computer cabinet.

    I recently bought an Acer 21 1/2" monitor for $89 on Amazon, & it works fine. Added the Logitech Z220 speakers for $20, & that's all I needed.

    Avoid the monitors with built in speakers; they cost a lot more, & the speakers are tinny.

    i can just by a small tv and hook to this new computer? do you use the hdmi plug,,new stuff to me

    24 inch is good and get one with all three standard inputs ,hdmi,dvi and SVGA. 4k is silliness at this screen size.

    We have Dell 23 inch Monitors on each of our 3 Dell PCs; specifically S2318H/HX monitors. They have VGA and HDMI inputs and two built in 3W Speakers that receive audio through the HDMI cable attached to your Video Card. Personally, I like this monitor!

    However, Dell has replaced it with the S2319H (23 inch) at $145 and S2419H (24 inch) at $175 on sale right now.

    Does your new puter have a HDMI outlet (plug-in).

    This past May, I purchased a 28" Viewsonic with speakers (HDMI) from Amazon for $128.00.

    Acer 21" fills our space, and has done very well for us for 3 years. Under $100 at Amazon.

    I'll also vouch for an Acer monitor. Get a wide screen one - makes reading forums like this one 10X easier. This one's been perfect since I got it in 2012.

    I also just ordered a new computer to replace the 2012 Gateway I'm using right now. The Gateway is bulletproof, but locks up whenever Win 10 tries to update. PITA. It's a motherboard compatibility issue, I'm told.

    Many new computers do have HDMI out, but all will have DVI and/or VGA. Most flatscreens take input from all 3, but check both your computer and TV to be sure you'll have a matching combo in some way.
