    Though we are all imperfect, GHW Bush was less imperfect than most.

    He approached life and death with a humble dignity that is rare amongst men and extremely rare amongst men as accomplished as was he.

    We are in a better place because of who he was, and we would be in a much better place were we all to emulate him.

    His last few years appear to have been very difficult, and he is now at peace.

    We thank you, Mr. Bush, for being the man you were.
