Vodka

The other Vodka Thread made me ask.

Are you supposed to taste vodka, warm or cold? I like Vodka ICE cold. But other liquors i like room temp.


Edit: I see a couple nice jeeps driving around my area every once in a while. theyre a local company.

    Whats the best vodka?

    If i drink its vodka only. However a bottle used to last a year or more.

    I am becoming a heavy drinker its only last about 2 or 3 weeks.

    I see rehab in the future. LOL

    I like Smirnoff watermelon flavor in Dt Mtn Dew.

    my son has a liquor store so i get to sample a lot of different things. in my opinion and of others, buy what we sell, Tito's is the best for the money and very good even if price isn't considered.

    If and only IF you drink it on the rocks or martinis (which I do).
    If however you mix with something else,then a good middle of the road Vodka is the way to go..

    I typically drink Vodka on the rocks. I prefer Chopin(Made from Potato) with a twist and a couple anchovy stuffed olives.
    If I'm mixing, anything will do! Titos(Made from Corn) is a decent Vodka at a decent price.
    Drink what you like.[;)]

    Smirnoff 100 proof usually I drink it in orange juice , sometimes in sour, seldom in a Martini.


    If I drank more than a bottle of it ever 10 years I might try something else [:D]

    Mostly drink Tequila these days, and only on occasion . I need to pick up the pace. By I whole lot !

    Tahoe Blue Vodka. They have a micro distillery in Reno and it's good stuff. They use water from Lake Tahoe in making it. It's only available in Nevada and California.

    Before I climbed on the wagon, I drank a lot of Sobieski. One of the least expensive, yet better tasting vodkas on the market.

    While I have now 3 times taken a sip or shot or two of the brown Irish stuff since chemo and radiation started - since being put on pain meds...

    I wish you would not drink considering the similar path to mine that you walk.

    I know you have walked it longer - I guided me on the way - but if I may opine - and sadly I think I have earned the right - neither of us should drink

    Mike i am not planning on going anywhere. My wife pushed me to do a lot of things this year and i needed a little more help getting things done.

    As the cold sets in i will be done doing things. When it gets cold i can not do things because the pain is to bad.[:(]

    Mike i have been on pain meds so long i never get a buzz. Plus i do not drink more than 1 drink at a time.

    Dave - you know I have your back, right???

    The cold - change of seasons to cold has crippled me and caused on order of magnitude leap in intractable pain levels.

    And the last 3 days the meds have not touched it.

    And I don't get a buzz from spirits either - but combined with meds it can cause depressed respiration

    If someone actually prefers one brand to another, they would not be a wannabe. I am not a vodka drinker, other than in Bloody Marys, but when I do, I prefer a smooth vodka. We have Titos and Grey Goose in the house. I don't drink enough to warrant trying every lower cost brand to see where I get the most bang for my buck, so I will stick with what I know.

    You can stick your wannabe comment wherever you see fit.
