I have used Stripe as my credit card processing company, and have done so for over two years. They suddenly dropped me as a customer when they found out I sold "firearms-related" items.

These items include holsters, empty brass, leather belts, pistol grips, and bullets (not ammunition). I don't sell "firearms" or "ammunition". Doesn't matter.

Sheesh. I replaced them with Payment Cloud.

And no, I am not selling a gun or already "sold" a gun...

    Looks like I'm going to have to start asking people what credit card processing company that use, and start boycotting that company if they use Swipe...

    Any company that would, or that would use a company that would take away your freedom by dropping you is an enemy of the state

    You'll have alot of boycotting to do, most are moving that direction. We use 3 seperate credit card processors here, I made it abundantly clear to the two we use for the gun business what we do and they have both informed me that they are a pretty pro gun company so hopefully I'm good for a few years at least. I also realize that the first hint of a boycott or a reporter/activist that somehow can link them to a highly publicized shooting that they can turn around in a heart beat.

    So I just dropped Stripe. What companies are pro-gun? Payment Cloud is one.

    I use Clearent....they took over Payment Alliance which is who I was with before Clearent came along.

    I don?t see how running off customers can be good for business but it is their business. With the whole world going nuts at the same time having a backup is a good idea. Good luck with the new company.

    I wanna say it's the principal-ity of it all but in truth it's a con. They're playing both sides. One says anti-gun and the gun folks splits and that company gets the tree huggers. Vice versa with the other company. At the end of the day it's about getting the 30%.
