That movie, got me into Whitewater. I bought a Kayak shortly thereafter, joined a Whitwater Club. Traveled all over the Southwest hitting most of the better rivers, prior to turning 17.
I still have multiple boats. Gave my Son two of my best, a couple years ago.0 -

That is on the Toccoa River. We used to cross that River when we had Ranger Students patrolling up North.
I used to tell the Ranger Students we were going where Deliverance was filmed.
