    I have no proof but I believe that POWs were left behind in Vietnam.
    Nixon wanted the war over it was in his interest to abandon these troops.

    I guess i'm old enough to remember when there was a constant fight to go back and get them, and the Government would keep playing it down and not allowing it.

    Wasn't the movies Missing in Action and Rambo II political statements as such that the US knowingly abandoned POWs?

    I was in during the tail of Vietnam and the first gulf war. It's really hard to believe that our government would abandon POWs. That was one of the things they kept stressing to us - the government will take care of you... I don't want to believe it but I've seen too much BS come to light. Oh well...

    i believe some were abandoned...NV could not get what they wanted poitically and the US could not get what they wanted politically so those captured probably just disappeared...executed ???? the truth will probably never be proven
