Jeff Sessions is Fredo
Trump is Michael Corleone. The Deep State (Democrats, Nevertrumper RINOs) are the rival mafia bosses plotting against the Corleone family.
Jeff Sessions is given the title Attorney General and he is eager to do a good job. He wants to be known as a paragon of legal virtue, being completely fair and impartial. Then everyone will respect him, he thinks. But just like Fredo, he is too stupid to realize that their enemies do not give a rat's feces about being fair or impartial. All they want is to grab power and destroy Trump/Mike. And just like Fredo, Sessions turns out to be very simple-minded and gullible. He is tricked into betraying his own family.
Right now the assassins are shooting at the Corleone family's Lake Tahoe compound. Hopefully Trump will survive the current attacks and go back on offense to destroy the Deep State swamp creatures eventually. After that it's time to take Fredo out for a fishing trip on the lake.
