Rifleman ???

OK :

I watch The Rifleman on a regular basis : I like it , not my favorite T.V. western But watchable : With Chuck Conners .....

So , Im wondering just how many 'bad guys' Lucas killed ? Seems to happen in most episodes , looks like He offed more bad Guys than the bad Guys offed anybody else , and He Never seems to get into any trouble for His 'shootings' ???

    One of my favorite all time tv shows!

    The bad guys always lose.
    Most everyone deserves a second chance.
    No stronger bond than a Father and his Son.
    Honesty is always the best policy.

    My question was always, who got all the dead guys guns?
    You'd think Lucas would have a barn full full of Colts![;)][:D]

    Less than the 2.5 average, a further site counted deaths per episode, calculated 245 total for the series. He sometimes went three episodes with no one dying. That is hardly any violence at all. Even less than the average number of flameouts per month here.

    My pet peeve is with "Wanted-Dead or Alive".
    He carries a cut down lever action "pistol".
    On his belt appears to be something like a 45/70 shells.
    I figure he has about 2 cartridge space in that cut down
    tube.
    What say you???

    I like the Sheriff Paul Fix. My favorite episode was the one where he became a drunk because Chuck was always bailing him out.


    Such a great actor, He was also the Judge in to Kill a Mocking Bird.

    Worse, babun. The gun used in the series was a Mod 92 chambered for pistol cartridges. At one point, the idea was that his belt rounds were for a rifle. Silly on two counts: if true, he had no reload ability for the "mare's leg", and he didn't appear to have a rifle, even on his horse. So the belt rounds were merely for Hollywood glitz.

    Lucas could shoot his special fast shooting rifle either right or left handed! Chuck Conners was a major league baseball player before coming to Hollywood.

    In most of my favorite episodes Lucas and his son Mark usually have one of those father\son life lesson moments. A few times it has them both smiling and laughing, while the dead guy on the floor that Lucas just killed is still laying there!![:0][:)]

    Lucus was a mighty fine shooter but he couldn't fight worth a lick, it seems he always got beat up in a fight [:D]
