    No problem

    I will go out and buy all the bread, milk and bottled water I can

    Fill my cars up with gas and all my gas cans

    run around like a chicken with my head cut off while watching the weather channel 24/7


    But in reality I am not worried, I live N of Raleigh so by the time they get here they are blown out.

    Now Ricci might get some storm action.


    I forgot our bass ass Gov has declared a state of emergency.

    Many don't know this but here is the reason:
    His executive order waives transportation rules to help farmers harvest and transport their crops more quickly. It cites a recommendation from state agricultural commissioner Steve Troxler that the storm presents ?an imminent threat of severe economic loss of livestock, poultry or crops ready to be harvested.?

    So vehicles transporting those agricultural goods will not have to be weighed along North Carolina highways, temporarily, while the state of emergency is in effect.

    I am out right now looking for a cheap mobile home, or as we call em "Trailer Houses", but it's hard to find one with the wheels and tires still on. We race em during Hurricanes. Paint big ole numbers on the sides. It is a blast but sometimes it can be hard to keep em in a straight line.

    I'm ready as can be, we're on up in the mountains so it'll likely weaken considerably if it makes it up this far.

    Sounds like more fun than riding out the storm on a 428 ft. destroyer which I did a couple of times.

    When we have these storms with monsoon rains invariably the roofs of my clients leak, and I get to change ceiling tiles for a day or two :(

    The last few years the weather has really sucked, or blown however you interpret it.

    I am ready to be done with these Fing Hurricanes for a couple years.

    Supposedly the Atlantic was cooler and should reduce the number of storms, now it is warmer LOL

    What I really should have done was had a career as a weather moron.

    Two of my co-workers are on vacay this week, one on Ocracoke and the other at Murrells Inlet...I guess their vacays will be ending a few days early. I'm set to go to Cherry Grove the end of the month, to an ocean front rental...hopefully it won't get trashed!

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they ran on an oval track???? All the house trailers races I've ever seen on TV have been done on an oval track[:D] but it is quite interesting how they get them to fly without wings....[:0][:D]

    This is shaping up to be a real bad ass. This is the main reason why I live up in the mountains of NC. I have always liked the beach but didn't want to build a house there for this reason.

    Y'all in the lowlands of SC and NC are headed for trouble I hope it works out OK for y'all.

    I hope this badass doesn't work its way up to the mountains near Asheville it could be tough times up here as well.

    My house is on a mountain 510 feet above the French Broad River so my house won't flood but it could be hell on the roads etc.

    I am in the hills in northwest SC near NC.I don't ever remember a hurricane making it this far in except the heavy rain,Hurricane Hugo went through Charlotte and did a lot of damage so I guess it is possible for a hurricane to make it to here.

    Looking like it may effect us out here in the Blue Ridge...gonna be a wet and windy week end next week. I've got all my emergency supplies ready to go. Atleast the heat has subsided.

    Panic has already set in here in the flatlands of NC .i am about a 100 mil s from the coast . Fran and Floyd both hit us hard when they passed thru .Currently it looks like CNC will get a direct hit with a path similar to Fran . Going to be big trouble for us as far as the flooding is concerned . Checked out the generator today and will stow away all of the outside junk tomorrow . Then all we can do is bunker down and pray. Grocery store shelves are already stripped per my wife
