Pulled an Oh Crap
Yesterday while shaving I got to thinking about my CCW license, thinking it might be getting time to renew it. Got it out and looked at it and it expired on 6-20-18.
Called the SO and they said no problem, download the form from the Attorney General's office, fill it out, and we'll fix you right up. The only difference from a normal renewal was re-filling the form. He was kind of surprised when he saw my number was 102, he said they are over 7300 in this small Ohio county now.
Went out to the SO this morning, and in about 15-20 minutes I was on my way. License should be ready tomorrow and I can pick it up anytime.
They took my picture, fingerprints, and $50 and sent me on my way. [:)]

Here in the People's Republic if ya let it expire for any reason the MSP do EVERYTHING in their power to deny you a renewal. 0 -

That's what I envisioned happening. That wouldn't have been a huge problem, but I wouldn't have been able to carry in the interim. [:0]
The deputy told me that with the 5 year license there are a lot of expiration's missed.0 -

Here in Oklahoma as long as it has not expired more then 3 YEARS, you can renew without any problems. After 3 years, you have to take the classes again.
I have no idea why they allow such a long time frame. But you can also carry your weapon 90 days after the expiration date on the card.0 -

What are these classes you speak of? In Virginia, I had to show my Hunter Education card.

Doesn't it seem odd that a typical county/state organization can process fingerprints and photo to determine I/you/we are good guys while BATFE takes months and months to process the same info to the same end result for a NFA stamp?0 -
we can be made to wait 90 days for renewal in wv.

And Pay 80-100 bucks to listen to some so called "expert" drone on all day about crap I could care-less about. The guy I went to was a Bible Thumper and after 8hrs of listening to him Thump his bible I needed to listen to some Death Metal, Drink some whisky draw pentagrams in the dirt.
The come back the nest day for my "Shooting test" which was 6 rounds into a paper plate at 7 yds.......That was tuff[:o)]
Then go to the Court House and pay another 90 bucks + 10 bucks to get a background check and finger prints done after filling out a form, waiting in line, paying $5 for parking, Get to go through the metal detector forgot you had a scary pocket knife go back to your car comeback to the metal detector.................[:0][:0]
