woke up 3.00AM to let furry buddies outside for their duty...they came zipping back inside in short order...it is 7* above zero...way lower than forecast and they are now stretched out on the heated kitchen floor....me too...like a room size electric blanket

According to what I read in "The Farmer's Almanac", we are supposed to be having a very mild winter. It failed to mention that it is going to last 9 months of the year![:(!]

32 here but what bothers me is the lack of rain. We had some but just a little. 0 -
just a couple of light snows here so far and some rain this fall after a real dry summer...have 4wd tractor with a 12' dozer blade that hasn't got used for the 4th winter so far...one year in past have had to shovel a narrow path thru 4-5' drift to slide shop doors open to get tractor out ...then open roads and drives to 7 neighbors and a path to town...more fun than farming...had lots of rain at the lake place this fall with 7" in one dose 0 -

Overnights here have been running at 1 to -2 for the past week or so. I haven't seen it this cold this early for years. We only warmed up to 46 today, and at 6:00PM we're at 30 already. The pellet stove is sure getting a workout. 0
