Drivers, start your grills. OK to eat roadkill

Not everywhere but Oregon has put it on the Books.

There are some "strings" attached.

Would-be roadkill harvesters must apply for their free "roadkill salvage permit" no more than 24 hours after picking up their cut of street meat, and must submit the heads and antlers of the animals to the Department of Fish and Wildlife within five business days.

No permit required before harvesting. I see opportunities.[:D]

    I find this hilarious !! The government is going to let me eat roadkill. When did we ever have to ask if we could eat something we found? Why was it illegal to begin with? Who came up with these stupid laws?
    Our government on stupid pills & the people on dumb & dumber pills to even have this as an issue !

    Trophy poachers have alwayd claimed their just roadkill, the law against roadkill was to make it to where they could prosecute the trophy poachers. This new law makes them turn in the Head and antlers so there's no question that they have been poached or if they're really roadkill...

    Cruising I-5 with a tow truck with rail road ties for front bumper foraging [:D]. It is foraging. Not exactly for clams but more or less unless you got corn baited on the bumper. I hope someone does this. It would be so hilarious.

    Our newly elected Governor and her Democrat congress is going to tax us so much that all we can afford to eat is road kill. So they gave us that. But the Illegals get free stuff and sanctuary. Soon we will have the Oregon trail in reverse. I hope Idaho is still accepting refugees.
