Looking for a good ad blocker...

Anyone here know a good ad blocker...that works.

    if you use google chrome, check the app store. the ones offered for free is enough for what you are interested in.

    With over 500 million downloads, Adblock Plus is one of the world's most popular ad blockers.

    Two years and never a problem. Get it at the google store.

    Works so well that many sites ask that you "unblock by clicking here" to view their content or sign up. If you Don't do it, you don't get to enter the site and see the information.

    Never found something so important I'd want to "unblock". The articles are always on another site but requires a search.

    Having tried both, I can recommend one even better than AB+. It's uBlock Origin.

    On my Win/Firefox system, some ads still got through AB+. Not so now. It works perfectly on Firefox and Chrome, but I haven't tried it elsewhere.

    I use the server list from http://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlist.php?hostformat=bindconfig&showintro=0&mimetype=plaintext and spoof the DNS for the known ad/tracker/virus/spam domains on my local network... no ads on any device. Do this with a Raspberry Pi on my home network.

    Took the system off line for a few days and my son thought the internet was broken and he had been infected with something... he's not seen ads online before...

    I use uBlock Origin as well on a Win7 Pro/FireFox combo. Does a great job.

    BTW, there is a newer program called uBlock. They tried to improve upon the Origin(al) but only made it bulkier and slower. Stick to uBlock Origin. Newer isn't always better.

    FIREFOX, no tracking like Chrome Safari or Micropuke. FREE TO DOWN LOAD. FREE TO USE.

    AdBlocker has blocked 120,000 ads from popping up on my screen.

    DELETE Google, Bing and others and use DuckDuckGo. No tracking there either.

    When you find that some sites like Drudge can outwit AB+, just switch to uBlock Origin.
