Basically, he declared he had a 9mm pistol while checking in
airport, {just like you are supposed to}. Arrested, set loose, after posting $200 bail, misdemeanor charge.

Wonder how it would work if you field stripped it and sent say, disassembled slide/barrel/springs/mag home and packed just the frame in checked luggage and declared a gun part?

Never thought about a ?part?, but have received mags and springs and other replacement/extra non-serialized parts in the mail.
