Got my rifle rebarreled a couple months ago
The ol 308 barrel was way past its prime. Debated on what caliber to go with now. Went with 260 Ackley, 1:8 twist, 29" Bartlein medium palma, blueprinted the action while I was at it. Load development has been interesting. Found a few that work pretty well, 140 berger hybrid, 142 SMK, 147 ELDm, found combos that work with each of them. Ive settled on 147's @2780 fps. Did push a 142 SMK to 3110fps!! Backed that off a bit!

Nice! I built a 6.5x47 Lapua about three years ago, and just picked up a 6.5x55 I'm gonna work with.
It's hard to beat the 6.5. My Lapua, built by me as my first ever bolt rifle build, ty turned out amazing. Milk jugs ar a 1000 yards easy, a one time 3/4" group at 400 yards, and consistent 3/8" groups at 100. These rifles bring accuracy to another level.0 -
I do love my 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser bolt action rifles
And have long been a fan of the cartridge and found it to be very comfortable to shoot and less punishing on the body
Great looking piece - keep us updated on how it performs and what you think of the proprietary wildcat custom cartridge

That is a Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist Style 5 Fully Adjustable stock which comes with the butt plate system. The cheek piece is adjustable also.

Correct. This stock has been a good one, love how everything is adjustable.
