    Why would the standard for a police officer using deadly force be different than a civilian using deadly force? If you fear for your life, then you protect yourself.

    well lots of chit is happening in AMERICA that i never thot i would see...including 2 killings by police that were IMHO outright murder ... one close and one far away...CRAP in the political arena i never dreamed is now commonplace...taxes placed on things that would believe oneday you would have to pay an oxygen tax for breathing....and i know a lots worse goes on in other countries but i am HERE

    That's exactly what I am thinking too. Way too much of it. Why surround and kill a man off out on top of a hill in New Mexico where a half dozen officers with swat gear kill a man who was not a threat one to the officers, but failed to drop the knife therefore they fear for their life, before Rambo opened fire and shot him down as if he were Osama Bin Laden. In Seattle, an officer kills an old Indian man, who had a knife, not a threat in the world to anyone or their brother, and shoot him down as if he was Geronimo on a scalping raid. Way too much of this BS in this country.

    I don't see the changes as noted in the article not taking into consideration any officer that fears for his life.

    Kid picking his boogers may have some virus, I was scared for my life, kaboom.

    Guy cooking the burger could have slipped something into it, I was scared Kaboom

    How would that affect a swat sniper? He isn't scared for his life, he is safe and sound atop a building far away?

    wichita kansas...man staggers out on his porch half asleep in the AM with all the hoopla going on and a cop murders him with a rifle from half a block away when he did not immediately do as they were screaming ......clean history.. he was swatted by some chithead in Kalif by phone to PD and NO COP WAS EVEN CHARGED IN THIS >>>>>MURDER<<<<<< FK WICHITA
