    I am glad I am not a stockholder.

    I would imagine the CEO and the top dogs all have golden parachutes, but the little guys will get their pink slip on Christmas eve.


    What a shame. Sears was already set up to be Amazon they just couldn't figure it out.

    I guess K-mart will be gone too. I have not set foot in a K-mart since they hired fat ass rosy to be their spokesman and they got rid of their guns.

    That clown Lambert has profited nicely from the demise, Sears cold have shifted it's focus earlier and survived but Eddie accelerated their end in my opinion.

    The original drop ship, one stop, "online" retailers.
    Inept management doomed them both.
    Hard to feel sorry for anyone foolish enough to still be holding Sears stock!

    Sears stayed in business for a long time giving easy to get credit cards.
    I have expected them to go out of business for a while.

    Yup! Sears was my very first credit card used to buy a washing machine.

    It was so long ago I had a choice between an auto unit or a wringer type![:0][:D]

    There is no longer a Sears Auto Center in Albuquerque. That's OK the Chinese version of the Die Hard dies easily and soon.

    Figured I better go to Sears before their gone.
    Walked in not a soul in the store at noon.

    Took some Craftsman tools that had problems and and batteries
    Had the receipts for the 4 batteries (19.2v drill / saw set)

    Walked out with 4 new batteries and and a bag full of new tools.
    Manager just took photos of old tools and let me keep those too.

    Unbelievable.
    When I was in high school in the sixties, my Mom took me to Sears to buy clothes.
    Ten years later I was a carpenter in Atlanta, we went to Sears to buy our tools. The Sears Skilsaw was the best in circular saws, Makita was unheard of in those days. Sears had the best tools.

    And my dad would talk about how, as a kid in rural South Dakota in the thirties, their store was the Sears catalog. Blue jeans, coffee tables, whatever you wanted you ordered from the Sears catalog and it was delivered to your door by the mailman.

    Twenty years ago I needed a good socket set, I went to Sears and bought a 109 piece Craftsman socket set, beautiful tools, you had a lifetime warranty if you broke, OR EVEN LOST a socket. Just go down to the Sears store and they would replace it for free. I still have that socket set, only one piece is missing, my helper lost it while we were building an addition onto my log cabin 3 years ago. Great socket set.

    Unfathomable back then, fifty years ago, that Sears would go broke.
    Now Sears is out there with the manufacturers of buggy whips, and horse drawn carriages, time has passed them by. Makes me sad.

    Eddie Lampert is a scumbag. He set Sears up to fail, and he will make billions when it does.

    Sick that he is allowed to do this. It really is.
