Why do I do this to myself?[:o)]
Each one of the cuts against the pebbles take about an hour to lay out, cut, and polish. There are 2"x2" tile going on the floor that will need to be cut to the 'creek and puddle' on the floor.

I have been working on a 10,000 sq ft. home for two years now. I have laid 12,000 block and over 650 tons of stone on this big place. You would have to see it in real life to truly appreciate it. The walls are almost 4 foot thick at the base.
below I collected these big slabs for a couple years and got to use them
below is the patio we are completing, I designed that fireplace in the background.
These walls are 14ft. tall and will be 40"at the base and taper up to 10"

back around 1977 or so ( +/- ) I was working construction and we built and started the outdoor theme river scape ? in Dayton Ohio by building a huge set of steps / seating along the river just behind the old YMCA
any way specs were all the seating / steps (what ever you choose) had to have river rock as your shower stall I hate too guess how many tons we hand placed and finished in . they were d in 50 pound bags came from Mexico if I remember .
my dad as well as a few other's took a bag or two home and did sidewalks at there homes with them [:0][:0][;)]0 -

They are a pita but they do look pretty cool once done. I'm on to the upstairs tommorow to do the master shower with the same concept except they're round river rock instead of the flat pebbles. 0 -

They're all interlocking 12x12 sheets but you have to cut em up to blend them as best as you can. The curb, niche and edges of walls are all individually laid.

Nope. Im old school. Dry pack with 40m liner and cement brick for curb.

Because that's where the studs are and electrical and plumbing running through those studs didn't allow for that option.

I thought I had a pretty nice brand new shower, five feet long with a nice bench seat in it, fiberglass, the Pride of Lowes. And then I saw your work.

Let's see 28hrs round trip from Wi=$2100 @$75 per hour+$300 in gas + $200 food expense +roughly $3,500 in labor for a 4x5 walk-in= $6100 in labor not counting your material costs. Mighty expensive shower![:D]
