Guns That You Are Stuck With
I am noticing certain guns for sale locally that have been for sale for a long time and will not sale.Sometimes it is that they are overpriced like the ARs people bought during the panic but it seems any Taurus,or WSM calibers,40S&W are the ones you are stuck with.What else should be on the list?

I've scored several .40's at good deals. (About 5 now.) Would not mind another.0 -
I am stuck with a Winchester 25/35. It was fire damaged, so I put good wood on it so my fil could hang it on the wall. It looks good, but would be unsafe for anyone to fire. It now gathers dust as I do not want it on the wall to attract burglars. 0 -
I just got outbid on a Taurus 357 at 325. ..Plenty of buyers of 40'S cals, albeit a little lower than should be. WSM calibers, I washed my hands of them and took a bath. Just didn't care for them anymore although many are superb hunting rifles in various configurations.
Dead weight,,low end AR's,, Mossberg 835's, Winchester models 12's are down, Browning Auto 5's in 12 gauge,,,ect.. ALL IMO.0 -

Yes 1894, you can't see down the barrel but it looks good.

M.O.A. 10/22 build comes to mind. Everything but the receiver was picked up on ebay when they said they will "ban" all gun related items way back when. So, I did it as a "FY" to them when I bought all the items to make a working gun off their site before the ban took place. I'll never recoup the cost so when I kick off someone's gonna get a bitchin' freebie.
I reckon soon to be in the house "White Feather" only because I'll want to add pain and suffering (a.k.a. Top Ramen Tax) on top of the crazy ass purchase price. Also my dumb ass state/county tax being close to 9% really hurts on top of the $5,000 sticker price. I hope I live long enough to shoot out the barrel [:D].
I might be stuck with three AR receivers I bought for my bro's kids for graduating high school. Yeah since both their dads didn't [:D]. They might've gotten a GED? Anyways, first the kids had to turn 21 to get these rifle receivers. Stupid California laws. Because the state feared the law abiding folks would turn them in to pistols.
So during the wait one went to Georgia and is too lazy to go to a FFL to do his thing so I could ship the silly thing. The other is in UCSD so I'll sit on it until he graduates that. Gawed that would be a tragedy if he uses it as a paper weight in/at that school. But 10 pounds of pot is okay for personal use, right? And the last one has yet to graduate high school. JR or Senior this year? Not my kid so I don't need to remember.
If Trump loses 2020 I'll unload them for a mint and give each $100 and pocket the profit. Wait until the last one is 21 and if I'm still alive all three can get it. Figure 5-ish years more?0 -
A friend of mine once bought a pistol in "as new condition", "sight unseen"along with its original plastic case for $25. The guy who sold it to him said he didn't know who made it or what model it was or what caliber. All they could say was that it's a real small pocket pistol.
Now I was really mad that the guy didn't ask me if I wanted to buy it. I knew it had to be worth more than 25 bucks. And apparently so did my friend that's why he bought it
When the guy brought the gun over and delivered it, it ended up being one of those mini cap guns on the end of a keychain that you get out of a gumball machine, along with the plastic bubble case they put them in so that it comes out of the gumball machine...[:0][:0][B)][B)]
After the guy that sold it to my friend delivered it and we found out what it really was, I was sure glad I wasn't the one that bought it[^][^][^][:D]
The other guy laughed and told my friend that he didn't have to buy it and offered to get my friends back is 25 bucks, but my friend being a stand-up man said that a deal is a deal and took the pistol instead of the money.0 -

I have a cople
but one that stands out is a old carcano rifle I was working with a fellow who mentioned he had a old rifle at home his dad had and gave to the him and other kids way back when they played army with it in the yard many times in there youth but I could have it if I wanted it
he had no idea just knew his dad told him it was a military rifle
I knew it had too look bad after several seasons of kids playing with it out side but it was free
he brought it in it was well abused carcano and the bolt was missing
the he told me his dad pulled it tossed it away before giving the gun to the kids Oh well [B)]
but one winter I took it apart cut the stock way back blued the barrel and receiver ( just experimenting and learning with it ) scrubbed the bore used it as a wall hanger in my reloading room many years later I found a bolt for it ( well you know came next ) I had a few old rounds 6.5 and 7.35 from whaen I had one each of the old rifles
I think they were . checked each round in the chamber to see what fit it was the 7.35 tied a string to the trigger and got behind a safe zone and "bang "no ill effects all went well . I would say it will never be fired again and I still have it hanging above the door . that was almost 40 years ago
