I've played golf where there was more money on the line than the cost of the RC truck.

For these littler fellers to think that something like this wasn't probable shows a distinct lack of understanding of the nature of the human male.

The guy with the golf club swinging at the teenager is an assault charge. If he had made contact, it would be assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

Now hitting the Remote control car is fine with me and charging the kids for trespassing for being there, but the old men used poor judgment for acting out after having their golf balls moved on the course and then possibly committing a serious crime in the process. They are the lucky ones here for not being cuffed and stuffed especially with video evidence present.

Yep, two mad teenage punks charging at him screaming like they were. Looked like he was swinging in self-defense to me... And any intelligent person would agree.

Not really unless there was a physical altercation by those teenagers on these golfers.I saw none. But taking a swing at one teenager with a weapon is intent. Using deadly force against an unarmed person is assault. It's not mutual combat. Your summation is wrong. Emotions can cause people to do dumb things.

The youngster in the red shirt pushed the one guy out of the way when running to his precious little car, and then he jumped in the guy's face.

A little smack-down would do these two punks some good.

I have learned more from taking a punch to the face than giving one, and would assume that most folks have or would also.

I would consider it a lesson in civility, not an assault.

Unless, of course, we are going to turn our entire culture into a snowdrift.

I am on the side that keeps me out of Jail since I am concerned about when and how to use a deadly weapon since I am starting to conceal carry my firearm.

Pulling out a deadly weapon is my main concern after sitting in class for 6 hours and then having another guy come in and try to talk us into an insurance policy for legal issues using deadly force.

If you main concern with concealed carry is not going to jail, you may not be cut out for it.

For a real event I don't mind being investigated but if you mean you can blunder and escaped the judicial system judgment like that guy that stood his ground in Florida fighting over a handicap parking space well it is going to cost him. Being an armchair analyst is one thing but being there as a participant is another.

No, you're wrong serf, there doesn't have to be physical confrontation to defend yourself, there just has to be reason to believe there will be physical confrontation. Otherwise anybody that shot somebody in self-defense would have to wait until physical confrontation actually existed. And that's not the way it works... If you fear that there's going to be a physical confrontation, then you have a right to defend yourself.

But there was physical confrontation. When the kid went up to check his car he pushed one of the older man. So again any intelligent person would not think that the old man would be prosecuted. He would be found innocent...

A cop in fear of his life spill here does not carry over with a jury with civilians, you can only use as much force as given.A simple push is not like a smashing golf club into someone's torso.

We will never know what was innocence but pushing a cop or civilian without a weapon is not a reason to use deadly force in my opinion.
