Science project

Idahobound
Need help picking out a 2nd grade science project. We want something that my daughter can do most of the work with a little help from dad. Looking for something different for what everyone else is doing. Have a ideas?

    It is hard to beat the old "lemon battery". Daughter #1 used it many years ago, and with great success. When she demonstrated how to connect several lemons in both series and parallel, the teacher was impressed enough to call and tell me about it.

    Third grade science is usually simple machines and understanding their uses. When my son was in second grade we used progressively longer breaker bars / socket wrenches and showed how even a little fellow like him could crack loose lug nuts tightened to 90 foot pounds. We made a couple simple graphs and took some pictures, and then we went around the house finding other examples of levers (there are more than you think). We took a lot of pictures and made some graphs and read a book from the library about levers and other simple machines. The whole thing took about three or four hours on a Saturday.

    Well not really enough time for mine.

    But I was going to say how about a 3d printed gun That way she would not have to worry about going to school.

    One of the Granddaughters has been coming up with some stuff that has made me think and do some reading on. But she is starting 7th grade.
