I read a long article several years ago that said they favor inbreeding. So, generation after generation, you have a slow decline into the abyss.
You look at the massive wealth of Saudi Arabia. Yeah, they got the oil, but without British and American engineers and oil field workers going over there, they never would have sold a gallon. They would be living in goat-skin tents and engaging in battle with swords on horseback, just like the good 'ol days of 800 AD.
