Pot Shot

My side yard bird feeder. White wing doves. My granddad called this a Pot Shot, because "one shot and you filled the pot".

  One shot, 20 Doves; that would make up for the times when it would take 20 shots before you downed one Dove! [:D][:D]

  never ate a dove I have taken out a few with bb guns but that was many years ago now the wife would have my ass for shooting one .
  as a kid I remember one of aunts many husbands ( i think she had 3 or 4 along the way ) visiting said he loved dove hunting and eating them they lived in California )

  We get lots of white wings as well as mourning doves and collared doves. We also have the largest concentration of Coopers hawks in the country feeding on the doves. We have about one a day taken in our yard.
