I was driving to get a Cappuccino and saw a guy
walking along the road. This is out in the country miles from most anything. I drove past him and got my coffee and one for him. I drove back and saw him again. He was walking with his back to me and it was cold. I watched as he just sat down. I could see the he had just given up even at that distance. I stopped and picked him up. I gave him his coffee and asked where he was going. He said to town. 12 miles out of my way. I said it was heading to town.
He said he had gotten a job at a nearby town and on the way home he had blown the motor in his car. He did not know if he could keep the job due to transportation. I drove him home and we talked. He was an intelligent fellow.
I dropped him off at his home and drove the 12 miles back home.
The thing is, I helped him, but not much. I feel sorry for the guy.

You showed him kindness. You showed him not to give up. You showed up at the right time.0
