Ruger LCP II factory 7 round magazine
The height of the LCP II with the standard 6-round magazine is 3.71 inches. Does anyone know how much height the factory Ruger 7-round extended magazine adds to the pistol? (Picture below). Thank you.

Don't know on the little 7 rounder,but overall height on a 15 rounder is 8 1/16" 0 -

Looking at the posted picture the mag extention depth looks to be about the same as bottom of the grip to bottom of trigger guard....it should give you a close idea.....that is if you have the LCP in hand. 0 -

Agree. Like the design/looks a lot. Have heard complaints tho that the mag release sticks out too far,able to release the magazine just by getting a good grip on the gun. Haven't handled one myself,yet.0 -

Think I'm going to pick one of them LCPII up. Handled one in a gun shop last August, really disappeared in a pocket.

I recently picked up a LCP II for hot weather close carry. I didn't get a 7-round extended mag because in my opinion, making a little pistol bigger kinda defeats the purpose of having a little pistol. JMO, YMMV 0 -

Not sure about the Ruger but the Kel-Tec P3AT Mag release is a little too long and every Holster I've tried tries to eject the mag.0 -
I've fired my LCP II and carried it in a pocket holster...never had a mag release unintentionally. 0 -

The regular LCP we have(the one pictured) is not an issue with the release button. Still want to get a LCP II and find out for myself.0 -
The main difference is the trigger. MUCH lighter with the LCPII. I have been carrying one for about 2 months, and had 0 problems with the mag release. Hides in a pocket, and shoots great as long as you consider the size and caliber. 0 -
