US Army helped me with my problem
I had water in the basement and called some plumbers
Everyone had a different location where the water was coming from.
One wanted to come with a backhoe
Estimates from 2,500.00 to 6,000.00 were given

I want to thank the US ARMY ANTS for finding the location of the water leak.
6 months ago- 67.5 gal.
5 months ago- 50.0 gal.
1 month ago- 44.8 gal.

It looks like that cinder block was put in broken 30 yrs ago .
I could get 4 finger into that hole.
The house is on high ground and the ground was graded correctly but after 30 yrs of settling the ground shifted just enough for the water to find that broken block.
I made a long pole with a video camera that I could hook my leaf blower to for checking/cleaning the rain gutters and with a little grading i stopped the water to about 30%
For years the army ants were always on that landing and going down to that broken block.
They pinpointed that spot.
The basement is poured cement with wall to wall carpet/cabinets so it was a little tricky to detect where the water was coming from
With the outside foundation patched up and all of the carpet gone I think I?m winning this war with Mother Nature.
There still is a very little water drainage in a crawlspace in the basement opposite to the outside broken block.
About 15 min. of work to do yet and I hope I?m done.0 -
