As an interesting side note, if you look at the codes for the month starting from January and going through December the the 12 letters for the codes spell out black-powder-x0 -
picture 13 is the date code the two letters. I can't make out the first letter which would be the month. The last letter looks like a E to me which would make make that a 1984 rifle 0 -

I have bought a few guns from him and he is a great guy to do business with, fast shipping, great packaging and he answers his phone and will call you back. Only thing is he doesn't have a fax so you have to scan your FFL and email it to him or snail mail it to him. 0 -
