In future they need to stop and think about what made a cave before crawling into one.
A big cave was not created by a groundhog or armadillo, it was caused by water flow or Drug smugglers from Mexico to Calif, maybe.[;)]
Not a good idea to be in one during monsoon season or when rain is predicted.
Damn lucky to be alive, they need to count their blessings.

Why would you take kids a couple of miles back in a cave? A hundred yards would be enough because the scenery doesn't change whether you're a mile back in it or a few feet.
They should have left the coach in the cave.0 -

The young soccer players rescued from a partially flooded cave Tuesday were given anti-anxiety pills to help them safely complete their journey, officials said.
A source told Khaosod English that the four boys were ?medically sedated? for the dangerous journey out of the Tham Luang cave network ? to reduce the chance that they would have an anxiety attack on their way out.
?Reviving them fully is why it takes time for them to emerge from the cave entrance,? the source said.
When asked about the drugs, Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha insisted the boys were not given an anesthetic, just anti-anxiety medication, without specifying which kind, The Guardian reported.
?Who the hell would give that to a kid?? he said about an anesthetic, adding the boys were instead given ?something to make them not too nervous and panic.?
?I also take them when I am shooting,? he said, presumably to steady his nerves.
It is unclear if the four boys rescued Sunday and the four rescued Monday were also drugged.0 -

I don't think he was exploring that deep. I suspect they were cut off by flooding & retreated either to escape the water or maybe in hope of finding another exit.
Everyone is so happy now I hope it doesn't wind up like the Chile mine affair with all the bickering that developed afterward.
It is of course sad that one man died but we all have to die someday & most of us will not have our deaths be so meaningful.0 -
