Cell Phone Tracker Software

My wife and I have both misplaced our phones several times. Lucky for us we were able to find them. Also, we have both had mechanical breakdowns out in the far lonely here in Nevada. We would like to install a tracker app on each of our phones. We both have Samsungs and we use T-mobile. T-mobile has an app named FamilyWhere but it only works "downhill".i.e. Daddy can find any phones being used by the wife and kids, but none of them can use it to find each other or Daddy.
I found one that sounds like it MIGHT be workable, named Life 360, but it runs about $80 per year.
Do any of you guys know of some other product that will work both ways and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

    Samsung makes it easy. Go to samsung.com & register your phones. Lose a phone, go to the same website, & they have a find-my-phone feature. Shows you a map & where the phone is. Costs nothing.

    Or, for folks with a Google ID, Google offers a similar service for free.

    If you want an app that lets you use your laptop to track a phone while you drive around following someone, THAT will require you to buy software.

    That Samsung app sounds like it would do. I don't need a mobile tracker. Just something to show where the phone last was.

    We use the, "Find my phone" App.

    Works great.

    Apple has a pretty good tracker for free, Find My iPhone.

    I set my truck up with wifi, hidden. Then I have an old iPhone that is hidden in the truck and hooked to a hidden charger. This allows me to track the truck free of charge if it is stolen.

    Also my ELOG I purchased to stay compliant with the jackbboted truck thugs is easily tracked via computer. Bryann when she is bored watches me on the map while I drive and knows everywhere I stop in real time.

    Just use Google maps...there is a share my location feature. You can set who you want to see your location, when and or how long or for just the duration of a trip.

    My wife and I use it.
