I have seen a unicorn.[^] in California at Safari World or whatever that place is called, they have bred goats that only have one horn. They have been doing this for years, and now they have classified them as unicorns because it is in their DNA to only grow one horn.0 -

We had a "Polled" Hereford cow that had one stubby horn growing out of the middle of her forehead. Threw a lot of twins, but all the calves were normal. Had her skull hung up in the barn, but someone stole it.0 -
Unicorns used to be quite common in the southern states - but since the existence of unicorns requires female 16 year old virgins they have been extinct since the 1950's...

Etymology is a lost art since we no longer teach Latin in schools. Most of our words have Latin or Greek origins, in whole or combination. Unicorn is an example of the latter. 0
