When My Wife Went To South Korea
She was there 2 weeks trying to turn the plant around. My wife is an engineer for Cummings. She has been there 30 years and started when they were building engines on the floor before assymbly lines and computers at every station.
My wife for the last 8 years or so works on new products.
When she arrived at the plant on the first day the men would not listen to her. To listen to a women is frowned upon. My wife told them that what they were trying would not work.
She then went and got a chair and laughed at them as they tried to make it work.
The next day the same thing happened and my wife told them to put identicle engines and parts and tools in 2 seperate roooms and to give her 3 women workers from anywhere in the plant.
She had her engine done before lunch. When her team got back the men wore still working so they went and hung out in the breakroom. At the end of the day she showed them the engine was built before lunch and they could not fix it in 12 hours.
After that they listened to everything my wife said. Some people you just need to show. They have asked her to go back 2 or 3 times and my wife hates their food. She is not going to go back unless they make her.
Same thing with Japan unless they make her she will not go back there either.

They had an intra-squad game and the South beat the North handily.

I lived in South Korea for 18 months in the early 90s. LOVED the food.
Pretty sure I ate canine a few time. Didn't ask- meat is meat.
But think about it- hamburger stands everywhere and not a herd of cows anywhere! The only cows I saw were working in the fields.0 -
To get your tastebuds wet, go to a Korean restaurant and order a Korean pancake for starters and then some bulgogi. 0
