It's the gun...Part II

I slowly closed the slide a few times and it closed just fine. I don't think there is an issue with the link mechanism.

Made a few dummy rounds and cycled them manually. It did way better but still got stuck once in a while. Maybe more usage with "break it in" some?

Thing may be cursed. It has the 3 dot sights and I noticed the right dot on rear sight has fallen out. Jimminy Cricket, what next?

    Not always the same position in mag but maybe the same round. I did attempt to tweak the extractor as demonstrated in the videos I saw and like I said it got better. Went from jamming 50-75% to about 10% now. I think it is the extractor. My guess is that I did make a small adjustment and most cases now work OK but one that is maybe at the top of the range for rim thickness still sticks. Needs more tweaking, I guess.

    BTW- Just for fun I put empty cases in the mag and they chambered just fine.

    So to continue educating us is that radius good or bad, what should that distance be between ramp and barrel?

    OK, I cycled dummy rounds through the gun for 20 minutes. Would snag onece in a while. The last 3-4 times it was the last round. Swapped magazines. Used an old mag made in the 1970s. No jams. Used a new mag with a rounded follower. No jams. I think a combination of breaking in through working the action and different magazines may have solved the problem. Al least it appears so for now. Real test will come next time at the range when I actually fire it.

    BTW-The distance between the barrel and ramp on the frame appears to be similar to the photo posted. I have no way of measuring it but it looks the same. Also, with a dummy round held on the breech face by the extractor there is a sliver of daylight between the hook and case body. No apparent contact.
