Sold my baby
I bought a 1968 Corvette convertible in 1972. I sold it today. My son is 42 and I bought that car 3 years before he was born. Its bitter sweet but she will be going to a new home in the Netherlands for a complete restoration by the new owner.

She had from time to time a couple of hopped up 355s that would make her scream, today she has a more sedate one.I know the new owner and have visitation rights so I can watch the latest improvements.
Im looking at a 03 jeep rubicon from South Carolina with 44.000 miles on it, nice after market wheels with fresh 32s on it, asking price is 11.5, I trying to get him down to 10. It is a standard with six.Not sure what life will be like without a pickup, but wee'll see soon enough.0 -

I drove my '73 big block Corvette 4 speed convertible to a Corvette show in Springfield, IL several years ago and as soon as I pulled in the site a guy and his wife asked me if I would sell it. A real nice couple but I told them it wasn't for sale.
I had spent a lot of money getting that '73 454 boat anchor to run like the 1970 454s. I put most everything in it that the LS6 engines had and more and it rumbled when it was idling.
A little while later in the day the guy came up to me and was asking me all about the car and made me a really good offer for it but I told him I wasn't going to sell it. At the end of the day were getting ready to leave the show and he walked up to me once again and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Not very often do you get your money back on a car that you've restored but I did that time plus quiet a bit more.
We met him and his wife at their bank in St. Louis the next morning and then we rented a car and drove home to Tennessee. It was sad seeing him drive off in my old Vette but I had a big wad of hundred dollar bills in my pocket that would choke a mule that made it a little easier to watch it going out of sight. [:D]

Probably should have sold the kid
I miss my 73, had phase shifting paint. Bought it out of a junkyard.
I have been keeping my eyes open for another, but just can't find one in my price range.0
