Because I still enjoy the opinions of a devoted group of back-in-the-day members I've had reason to visit often over the last 12 years. That group is sadly shrinking. And I'm not planning on participating much, if at all. Nevertheless, I don't see how that obligates me to reveal anything more.

What I find the most ridiculous about this is how the person posting points out the membership "dwindling" down......when their post is a perfect example of WHY this has happened. The non stop dreary complaining and fussing type posts taking any and all spark of life out of the forums. Its like going to a new church and finding they spend the first full hour burning risque books and magazines.
On a lighter note for you guys that want to remember things......all of Bobskis "name this gadget" posts. Those were always fun.
Ziperzap's tales of hopping trains and competing in the Baja off road racing.....he made me feel like a VERY dull person.0 -

Not only were you kind enough to state in another thread that you were banned in 2006, you also said that your current name reflects your old user name. All I had to do was to see who was banned back in 2006 and then look to see which user name might somehow involve a telegraph.

His account was never unlocked and he only returned to the forum through some sort of change in his email address. I would have been willing to reconsider his issues if I knew who he was. He was offered the chance to identify himself and refused. Thanks to the information he provided, it proved easy enough to identify him so the next move was his. He choose to be locked.
Moderators cannot lock or delete member accounts; only Administrators have that power. This was the third person in as many weeks (SG and someone else whose name I've already forgotten) who wanted to be locked...and I'm always happy to oblige!0 -

I have been a member for about 15 years,,I did not post much in the first 12 years or so because I was always traveling for work,,Being a weekend observer It was comical. back in the beginning I could spot a few that had more than one account and posted under different names, I have saw ugly folks post pretty pictures of other people claiming it was their pic,, I remember the guy that was posting as a girl and had half the men in the room chasing him/her,, I always liked Harry, I seldom agreed with him but he could carry on an intelligent thoughtful debate without getting ugly about it . I used to debate ECC on religion to the point his pastor called me once,,never did figure out how he got my phone number. I have enjoyed it here and its a good place to get information and opinion if you can take it with a grain of salt 0 -
I?m curious if Bullzeye ever joined the Army. He used to light this forum up along with several members on his self proclaimed knowledge of the lethality of the 5.56/.223 compared to his beloved 7.62X39. That kid was plain stupid.
Eric, ECC, what you saw here and who he is is two different people. Yes he is opinionated but that man would give the shirt iff his back to anyone, well except maybe a few democrats but he is a good guy, a very caring and generous man. His injuries from the Gulf War are not what everyone thinks they are, he does have medical issues from the war and I can tell you some of his outdoor jaunts hurt him greatly. You pass judgement on his online persona but you never knew him. I consider Eric a good friend and know that if the SHTF in any manner he will be there.
Aside from that, this forum has changed, some people only come here to judge, belittle others and pretend to be perfect beings. There are still some good folks here but a handfull of people can drag forum morale down and bring out the butthead in the good guys. This is still a great place with lots of good memories and several freindships made, I?ve met lots of people from the forum and a few lasting friendships, wish it would continue that way.0 -

He claimed the cops had clocked him doing 190 and just looked the other way. Oh, and it was an S8... but you know it had Brembo brakes and Recaro seats and a "chip" so it was extra fast.0
