Knee tune up

SCOUT5
Left knee parts kit going in October 1st, right knee 6 months later. Be glad to get them done. I've been shut down for awhile now.

    Good luck.

    My Wife had both hers done at the same time. That was 4 years ago and she is doing 100% better.

    You'll be glad ya got the body and fender work and amazed at the relief you'll have. The docs built me a whole new shoulder last fall (GSW. Never let anyone tell you the .357 mag isn't a damn potent round!) and have a bunch of titanium in my neck (Lifetime of misadventure). All in all, enough titanium to build a small airplane. Darn good thing we have all this technology now days. They really can rebuild us in most cases. I wish you well. Ya get out of rehab what you put into it. If you're not sweating and shaking after a session ya might want to push a little harder at the next one.

    Good advice.

    The in home PT guy showed me what to do to help my wife get her range of motion back and I made her squeal.

    You will say I can't bend it but it has already been bent by the DR before you woke up.[;)]

    Thanks guys. I'll work hard at the rehab, got a lot of things I still want to do and I need them to work.

    Chris, I've killed several deer with a .357, I can imagine what it did to your shoulder. Glad they could rebuild it.

    Miracles of modern medicine Scout. (Lol, fortunately body armor has improved just a tad as well.) Wasn't that long ago there were no "fixes". We sure take things for granted now days. Keep us updated on your progress.

    Wish you the best possible outcome on this SCOUTS.

    I've got the "Tune up" on my first eye Nov 3rd. (2nd to follow.)I wish we could schedule it sooner. I put off looking into having them done way too long.

    Ken, very possibly autocorrect is much more knowledgeable than we thought!!
    As to ex wives/ex-girlfriends, damnit, I have a bunch of the former and several of the latter. Working with the last (We're, for the most part, still legally hitched.) to maybe put the band back together. Time will tell.
    I'm sure you're looking fwd to getting your peepers fixed up. (Ya said Buddy will be covered while ya do right?)

    My new wing was a total replacement. A big chunk of my shoulder was already missing (Had been for a good while but I was trying to gut it out.) It?s amazing. At 0730 they literally cut my arm off and by 1230 I was back at the house. Granted, I was a little dinged up, but I was at the house none the less. The pics are wild.

    Yeah Chris, Buddy is covered. (Thanks for asking.) It is an Outpatient procedure. Home same evening. One eye at a time. Wish we could do em' both and get it over with. [^]

    I have one titanium knee myself. Get the best PT they have and work hard at it, makes a world of difference. Best wishes!

    Hope you started PT before they did the cutting. I wish I had done more[:(]

    I had both done at same time some years ago. Wish I hadn't waited so long (but doc and insurance know-it-alls wanted to "make sure" [:(!] )

    They did both because they knew I healed fast and didn't want me favoring one knee until the replace the second one.

    I didn't want to let the PT folks work on me twice -- once was all they got![:D]

    The stronger your muscles are going in the quicker the rehab seems to go.

    I had both knees replaced in Dec of last year.

    Rehab is the key. Rehab was not hard i could do all the exercises easy. The very last thing she would do was have me lay flat on my back on a bench and push my knees down flat for 20 or 30 seconds.

    She would do that about 5 times for each leg and after that i hobbled to the car.

    I was walking the day of the surgery. My last knee was done on an outpatient thing. The first knee they made me stay in the hospital because of a autoimmune disease i have. I have to have steroids 3 times a day or i croak.

    When i get sick i need more so my doctor was scared to let me go home the first time.

    I have shots like an epipen for emergancys. I told them i can do that my self so they let me loose the second one.

    The only bad part for me is it feels funny when i get on my knees. Plus its uncomfortable. I have not been on my knees much but i crawled under the house to run ethernet cable. LOL
