Which Hurt Worse
I once borrowed a 14 foot ladder from someone at work and he left a pipe wrench on top of it. When i closed the ladder the wrench hit me on my forehead.
It put a knot about the size of a quail egg or a little bigger. At lunch my boss heard about the accident and i told him it was just a pimple. He told me if i need to go to the hospital to get my pimple looked at to call him first. I told him if i get hit in the head im going to be ok.
It really did not hurt that bad.
Now Saturday i had a claw hammer fall from the top box of my tool box on my big toe at the toenail bone area.
Holy crap that HURT. I know im hard headed but wow toes hurt. Now its purple and i have a line and its purple from that line forward.[:(]

Toes are no joke. LOL
I can not ever go barefooted in the house. You will never see me in sandles or without socks on my feet.
I will not take my socks off unless swimming and then when i get out i have swim shoes to put on.
I could not walk down my rock driveway barefooted for a 100 dollars. LOL0 -
I have broken my big toe twice in my life time. it does hurt like h3ll 0 -
I dropped a treated pine 2X4 endways from about 4 feet on my big toenail. Dang, that hurt! It split the nail into 4 or 5 pieces, so the podiatrist had to completely remove it because he said it would grow back weird and in several directions. Now I have a nearly smooth big toe, just a little "dimple" where the nail once grew. Had a few things hit me from the top of ladders, too, but that toe hurt a LOT worse. 0 -
I was working basement level on a hospital addition about 2nd story level a couple fellows knocked a chunk of concrete off . hit me dead center of my back took me to the ground . they said they seen it but too late did you yell thinking I would stand and get hit in the head ( my back was sore for a few weeks )
another time we had to cut a hole in a elevator shaft with jack hammers ( for a new door . two man teems . my buddy dropped the jack hammer dead nuts with the bit into my big toe . I knew it was bad , did not take my boot off until I got home that day . splattered my big toe good, took at least a month to heal up .

I once dropped a Chevy TH350 torque converter on my left foot right behind the steel toe in my work required steel toe boots. My foot was black and blue for months. Did not feel too good.

Had some new Downhill Ski boots. Unfortunately, my "deal" was slightly too small. Hit a Mogul hard. Jammed the Sheeit out of my big toe.
After about another 2-3 Black Diamond runs, I was in agony. Got to the highest chair lift at Gore Mtn. NY. Pulled my boot off and proceeded to drill it out with a small pocket knife. Girls were screaming, Guys were going "Holy Crap." My toenail was black. My toe was about twice it's normal size. Drilling it out and reducing the pressure was orgasmic.
I was done for the rest of the weekend. Nail eventually came off. [:0][B)]0 -

I once got two fingers on my right hand crushed in the closing segment of a garage door. I was told by a neighbor that my scream reminded him of a scene in the movie "Princess Bride" where Wesley was placed in "the machine" [:0]!
I do not even remember screaming at all but after about a half hour of cold water under the faucet, my fingers still hurt like he''!0 -
I was out riding the dirt bike one day on a newer trail with some grassy areas. I sure didn't realize there were some small tree stumps in that grass just about foot peg height. Lowered my foot a little to shift gears and caught my big toe on one of those unseen stumps. Of course my toe/foot comes to a complete stop (for a split second) as it gets stuck between the stump and bottom side of the foot peg. The impact almost knocked me of the bike. I have crashed a dirt bike almost every way possible, but this non-crash was by far the most painful of anything I've ever done. I took the motocross boot off to inspect the damage to find a bloody sock where blood had squirted out from under my big toe nail as well as a foot that was rapidly turning black & blue. The broken foot wasn't real painful, but it was about 13 months before it was completely pain free. 0 -
Failure to wear protective gear on construction sites where is was employed got you reprimanded the first time and sent back to the hall PERMANENTLY the second time.
Nomex (fire resistant) clothing was required when inside the perimeter of chemical and refinery facilities, NO MATTER WHO YOU WERE.
Everyone wore eye protection if the job required.
This got me started wearing safety glasses when weed whacking and steel toed boots when mowing the lawn. Getting real close to developing a habit of wearing gloves, especially when welding.

I weld a lot and i always wear gloves and a self darkening helmet.
I buy the thin leather gloves for mig welding. They work great. I can not stand the thick gloves.
I was welding a bunch of pieces and someone came in the welding booth to talk to me and when i was finished he had turned every piece backwards. When i went to put the pieces on the cart the hot part was not where it was supposed to be.
Now im holding about 30 pounds of steel burning my wrist. He told me he turned them around so i would not burn myself.
I told him im left handed thats why they were backwards. If i put them there dont you think i would know whats hot and not.
It was all i could do not to fire him. He was a super nice guy but dumb as a box of rocks.[|)]0
